A pink room, a pink universe with young women who look in the mirror, caress their hair, express their sexuality in a mirror, spend time contemplating themselves, adoring each other. They adore each other incredibly. Then the door to their room opens and they go out to face the world, sure of themselves, more beautiful than ever.
They release their beauty in the air, like butterflies in freedom, their soul is light, sublime but whimsical.
Light shades, spring colors, pastel pink and blue and touches of intense yellow. High boots, skirts below the knee, enveloping dresses. Very elegant coats that shape highly decorated silhouettes.
The Blumarine woman next autumn will be a Barbie to the nth degree, not a doll and fiction, but a symbol of beauty, femininity and enchantment. Some looks sometimes seem to recall Madonna’s Vogue intimate style, but declined in a 2021 version, where certain sexual expressions no longer cause a stir because they are now absorbed by femininity 2.0.
The butterflies flutter here and there and become an intense blue, even the pink and blue of the clothes light up, the night is near. A shot of bright red boot fills the scene and sets off the tones of the night. Fur in bright yellow, super enveloping. Wide necks, the woman is powerful, she is an affirmed woman, she shows herself to the public more to please herself than to desire affirmation. Blumarine is among the most beautiful collections of this season, among those that interpret the femininity of the beginning of the third decade of the twenty-first century with greater awareness.
The woman is so confident that she manages to combine shades of light pink with beige, to show off shorts-culottes and transparent dresses without being banal or irreverent. The evening dimension is even more intimate, the dresses are delicate and almost totally transparent silhouettes without altering the candid image they want to convey. But even Cinderella, at midnight, returned to her house. So also Blumarine’s Venus, at nightfall, return to their pink room. It all seems like a game, but it is the game of life, a carousel where everything turns to start playing again. Tomorrow will be day again.
